Job Summary:The Education Technology Specialist will provide advice and support to schools in the implementation, development, and evaluation of the digital action plan, as well as the use of technological hardware, applications, and approaches in the delivery of training and production of instructional materials.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide training and support to teachers and education consultants on the integration of new technologies into their daily practice and program/materials development.
- Support the link between the IT department and Education Services regarding IT-related matters.
- Ensure high-quality and culturally relevant education in Nunavik communities through the effective use of education technology.
- Review the current status and needs of educators, school administrators, professionals, and other staff members concerning the use of education technology hardware and software.
- Follow up on inventories of materials for educational technology within our schools.
- Provide leadership to the team and schools for the Digital Action Plan goals.
- Perform related tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of specialization, such as education.
- Experience as a teacher, preferably in a Nunavik school.
- Fluency in at least two of the working languages of the Board (Inuktitut, French, English).
- Strong computer literacy, especially in commonly used educational software.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Collaborative and helpful nature.
- Knowledge of the region of Nunavik and the Inuit culture are assets.
- Competitive salary range: $49,456 to $87,626 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
