Job Title: Light Duty Cleaner

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Light Duty Cleaner to join our team at THE ELITE STANDARD RESIDENTIAL & COMMERCIAL CLEANING. As a Light Duty Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
  • Stocking and Supply Management: Distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closets, and maintain a clean and organized storage area.
  • Specialized Cleaning Tasks: Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, clean and disinfect elevators, and handle and report lost and found items.
  • General Maintenance: Pick up debris and empty trash containers, wash windows, walls, and ceilings, and clean changing rooms and showers.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to work independently, fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, flexibility, organized, and team player.

  • Support for Indigenous People: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people, offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, and provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Support for Mature Workers: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports mature workers, provides staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers, and offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for mature workers.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities, offers mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees, and provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
