Job Title: Food and Beverage Server

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Food and Beverage Server to join our team at the Best Western Plus Mirage Hotel & Resort. As a Food and Beverage Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings
  • Describe menu items including daily specials for customers
  • Advise on menu selections
  • Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
  • Greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages
  • Serve food and beverages

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities
  • Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees
  • Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth
  • Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans
  • Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
  • Provides staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers
  • Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities
