Job Title: Gas Station Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Gas Station Supervisor to join our team at ECONO GAS. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our gas station, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Staff: Lead and motivate a team of sales workers, apprentices, and other staff members to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Assign Sales Workers: Effectively allocate tasks and duties to ensure a smooth operation of the gas station.
  • Hire and Train: Recruit, train, and develop staff members to meet the needs of the business.
  • Authorize Returns: Handle customer returns and exchanges in a fair and efficient manner.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and minimize overtime.
  • Sell Merchandise: Promote and sell merchandise to customers, including food, beverages, and other convenience items.
  • Prepare Reports: Analyze sales data, merchandising, and personnel matters to identify areas for improvement.
  • Resolve Issues: Address customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise.
  • Organize Inventory: Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure that stock is properly stored and rotated.
  • Supervise Activities: Oversee the activities of workers, including cash handling, customer service, and sales.
  • Manage Cash: Handle cash transactions, manage cash handling procedures, and maintain accurate records.
  • Oversee Payroll: Administer payroll, including processing pay, managing benefits, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
  • Conduct Performance Reviews: Evaluate staff performance, provide feedback, and develop plans for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail or gas station environment.
  • Work Setting: Gas bar.
  • Supervision: 5-10 people.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, attention to detail, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, organized, team player, excellent written communication, initiative, judgement, ability to multitask.
