Product Owner Job Description

Finning International Inc. is seeking a skilled Product Owner to join our Digital Platforms team. As a Product Owner, you will play a critical role in defining and prioritizing product features, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Product Owner with development teams, creating and managing a backlog of well-groomed user stories for features in development.
  • Ensure stories are completed to a high level of quality, with correct UX/UI inputs and alignment with our product strategy.
  • Collaborate with the product management team to understand and advance the product, providing input into features and epics.
  • Drive demonstrations for the platform to the wider Finning business and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 8-10+ years of equivalent experience in product management or a related field.
  • Seasoned agile practitioner with experience in customer journey mapping, roadmap development, and requirements gathering.
  • SAFE or Agile certification.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience working with feature development and support squads.
  • A knowledge of current and emerging technology.
  • SAFE framework and agile methodologies.

Soft Skills:

  • Skilled negotiator and proven track record of dealing with senior-level stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience of a commercial mindset.
  • Product owner skillset.
