Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Medical Imaging Aide/Clerk to join the Magnetic Resonance Imaging team at UBC in Vancouver, BC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform client registration and check-in, place appointment reminder calls to clients, relay pre-test preparation information to clients, and reschedule and/or book client appointments as required.
  • Assist technologists with positioning and lifting clients as directed and/or escorting patients to and from the exam room.
  • Monitor and replenish department inventories, ensure core supply levels are maintained, perform cleaning and tidying functions of the area, perform clerical functions, and act as receptionist to support the delivery of client care.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Grade 12 plus two (2) years of recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Knowledge & Abilities

  • Ability to keyboard at 40 wpm.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
