About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at 2596992 Ontario Inc. as a Fabrication and Repair Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welding and Fabrication: Interpret welding process specifications, operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes.
  • Quality Control: Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, and performing physically demanding tasks.
  • Tools and Equipment: Operate previously set-up welding machines, hoisting and lifting equipment, and use steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, safety harness, face shield, and welding helmet.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
