Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welding Fabricator to join our team at Blue Zone Truck & Trailer Repair. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment.
  • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a physically demanding workload. They will be required to handle heavy loads and work in a dusty and noisy environment.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Computer-aided design (CAD) skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The successful candidate will be required to work in a physically demanding environment with a fast-paced workload. They will be required to handle heavy loads and work in a dusty and noisy environment.
