Job Summary

Flyingstar Courier Inc is seeking a detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. This role involves loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.

About the Role

In this position, you will be responsible for operating various equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products. You will also ship orders, weigh materials and goods, and provide excellent customer service. Additionally, you will pack and unpack goods, sort, crate, and stack goods, install, lash, and secure goods, transport and distribute materials and goods, and organize and maintain inventory.

Responsibilities
  • Loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment
  • Operating various equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products
  • Shipping orders
  • Weighing materials and goods
  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Packing and unpacking goods
  • Sorting, crating, and stacking goods
  • Installing, lashing, and securing goods
  • Transporting and distributing materials and goods
  • Organizing and maintaining inventory
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in a dusty and noisy environment. You must be willing to relocate and have your own transportation. A valid driver's license is required.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
