About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced City Manager to lead our team at Municipalité de Saint-Aubert. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for advising on policies, coordinating the work of regions, divisions, or departments, and ensuring the development and implementation of budgetary control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policy Development and Implementation
    • Advise on policies and procedures to ensure effective governance and decision-making.
    • Develop and implement policies and programs to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead and manage a team of more than 20 people, including working groups, committees, and staff in various areas of responsibility.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure the achievement of organizational objectives.
  • Financial Management
    • Ensure the development and implementation of budgetary control systems to manage financial resources effectively.
    • Monitor and analyze financial data to inform decision-making and optimize resource allocation.
  • Communication and Representation
    • Represent the organization in negotiations and official functions, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization.
    • Develop and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, including employees, customers, and partners.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
    • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in municipal government.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, and MS Windows.
  • Security and Safety
    • Confidential security clearance and secret clearance.
    • Criminal record check.
  • Transportation and Travel
    • Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage a large workload.
    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy.
