Job Summary

Brandt Tractor Ltd. is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team in Val-d'or. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction and forestry based equipment and attachments in a shop environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the working condition of heavy duty equipment, diagnose issues, and perform repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently, and accurately document all machine information, actions taken, and time taken on work orders.
  • Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
  • Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis, and locate parts using parts catalogues.
  • Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
Requirements
  • Must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
  • Must be able to meet physical demands, including heavy lifting, climbing, and prolonged standing.
  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is preferred.
  • Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade is preferred.
