Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and lead the planning, implementation and reporting of infrastructure, environmental compliance, municipal services and programs according to the City's short and long-term strategic objectives.
  2. Support and act as a project manager on multi-million-dollar capital projects.
  3. Develop and implement effective environmental management systems and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address environmental and regulatory issues.
  5. Provide expert advice and guidance on environmental and regulatory matters.

Requirements:

  1. A University degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or other applied science relevant to the position.
  2. A minimum of 6 years related experience in environmental and regulatory, or in other related fields including experience in project management.
  3. A valid NWT Class 5 Driver's License.
  4. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and demonstrated experience with project management software.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package including a defined benefit pension plan, and monthly housing and vacation travel allowances totaling $450.
