Gerdau, a leading company in the production of long steel in the Americas and one of the major suppliers of specialty long steel in the world, is seeking a skilled Millwright/Industrial Mechanic to join our team at our Selkirk, MB location.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong mechanical aptitude to perform routine layout work, fabrication or repair of steel structures and components. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy industry, exposure to PM, Hydraulics, VF drives, PLC's, welding, crane work, and ability to work a rotating schedule (continental style schedule) 12-hour shifts as well as an 8-hour day shift (Monday - Friday).
The successful candidate will have a Red Seal Certification or Provincial Millwright Journeyman Certificate, demonstrated communication and work ethic, ability to work in a team and with other trades, and basic computer experience.
