Responsibilities:

  • Solution architect for high-level support and administration focused on Power BI, Power BI Embedded, SQL performance and tuning optimization, Clustering, Always On Availability groups, High Availability.
  • Designing and implementing effective Power BI solutions with a focus on Power BI Embedded, development, data warehouse integration, analytics, and DAX expertise.
  • Responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing Power BI and SQL Server implementations, as well as assisting in migration and modernization of solutions to Azure.
  • Key responsibilities include troubleshooting issues with existing reporting, governance, containment, deploying PBI, driving conversations, enterprise-level support, administration, and architectural experience in Data Platform.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with Power BI development including Power BI embedded skills, proficient in DAX for developing complex calculations and measures, strong understanding of data warehouse concepts and experience with data warehouse integration.
  • Prior consulting and/or customer-facing role, advanced Microsoft certifications preferred, Azure data factory, Azure SQLDB, Azure SQLDB Managed Instance, and Azure Synapse knowledge is a plus.
  • Power BI Solution design and embedded development, data modeling and database design, DAX, Power Query M Language, development and optimization, Power BI Service, Power BI Desktop skills, data connectivity best practices, custom visualizations, Power BI Row Level security, partitioning data implementations, indexing strategy, performance optimization and tuning capabilities.

Location: 100% Remote in the US or Canada

Salary Range: The salary for this position is estimated to be between $120,000/year - $150,000/year, based on factors such as location, skills, education, experience, and qualifications.
