Compassionate Healthcare Professional

In alignment with Island Health's vision and mission, this role prioritizes patient safety and quality care. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will provide professional nursing care to clients, utilizing the nursing process to coordinate and administer direct client care.
About the RoleThis position requires a registered nurse registrant with BC College of Nurses and Midwives, as well as Basic Life Support certification. Relevant experience in general duty staff nurse positions or specialty units such as Operating Room, Post Anesthetic Recovery, or Paediatrics is an asset. Critical Care, Emergency, and Intensive Care nurse positions require Advanced Cardiac Life Support and specialty certification.
Key Responsibilities- Apply the nursing process effectively in a well-organized manner to the care of assigned patients.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Remain calm and act appropriately in stressful and emergency situations.
