Job Summary

The Canadian Consortium on Neurodegeneration in Aging (CCNA) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Network Coordinator to support the Program Director and management team. As a key member of the CCNA team, you will provide administrative and project coordination support, ensuring the smooth operation of our research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting and Coordination: Coordinate and organize annual progress reports to CIHR, ensuring timely submission and high-quality materials.
  • Policy Development: Collaborate with the CCNA Director to write new policies and amend existing ones, ensuring compliance with CCNA's operations.
  • Communication and Outreach: Coordinate the CCNA monthly newsletter, gathering information, writing, and disseminating it to stakeholders.
  • Manuscript Submissions: Coordinate manuscript submissions to the Publication and Data Access Committee (PDAC).
  • Affiliate Management: Coordinate documentation for new CCNA affiliate applications, maintaining a list of affiliates with contact information.
  • Impact Metrics: Develop metrics to measure CCNA's impact across the field of dementia research in Canada, working closely with the Program Director.
  • Committee Participation: Lead or participate in CCNA committees to ensure compliance with CCNA policies and procedures.
  • Network Development: Ensure network development and cohesion, creating and distributing newsletters/messages to CCNA affiliates, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Communication and Knowledge Translation: Work closely with communications and knowledge translation staff to ensure a good outward flow of information regarding CCNA.
  • International Collaboration: Maintain regular communications with CCNA's International Scientific Advisory Board, the Strategic Advisory Council, and other CCNA committees, coordinating regular meetings.
Qualifications
  • Education: Relevant undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary educational institution.
  • Experience: Three to four years' experience in administrative coordination, preferably in research operations and/or management.
  • Skills: Well-developed administrative and organizational skills, strong project management skills, excellent writing, redaction, and proofreading skills, and proven ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders.
