Job Title: Food Service Supervisor
About the Role:
Vancouver Pizza Heaven is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our kitchen and front-of-house areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and implement efficient systems to meet work schedules and deadlines.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain high-quality standards.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory.
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
- Prepare and submit reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- 3-4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food service industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
