We are seeking a skilled Dump Truck Driver to join our team at Hayer Demolition Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a dump truck in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring the timely delivery of materials to various locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a dump truck in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Perform brake adjustments and other routine maintenance tasks as required.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all trips, including driver logbooks and inspection reports.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Basic security clearance
  • Criminal record check
  • Driving record check (abstract)
  • Drug test
  • Medical exam
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Willing to travel for extended periods
  • Willing to travel overnight
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as a dump truck driver or in a related field
  • Knowledge of GPS navigation systems and other communication equipment
Work Environment:
