Job Description

This exciting opportunity is for a skilled Welder and Quality Control Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality welds conform to specified dimensions and standards.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Inspecting all welds to ensure they meet the required specifications and drawings
  • Identifying non-conforming welds and performing corrective actions as needed
  • Operating a crane to lift joists for inspection and placement
  • Working collaboratively with other production team members to maintain smooth workflow
  • Advising workplace parties of quality issues or concerns
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of one to three years' experience in welding, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • CWB certification
  • The ability to regularly push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds and stand continuously
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Work Environment

As a Welder and Quality Control Specialist at Canam, you can expect a dynamic work environment with exposure to various machinery and equipment. Your physical demands will include standing continuously, walking, and occasional sitting, while vision requirements include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
