As a seasoned expert in the field of commercial, industrial, and institutional refrigeration, we're seeking a highly skilled Journeyman Chiller Mechanic to join our team at Johnson Controls.

About the Role

We're looking for a dedicated professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in chiller maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of centrifugal chillers, various compressor technologies, chiller control systems, and speed drives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute contract maintenance visits, inspections, site assessments, and service requests to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.
  • Recommend necessary upgrades or repairs to prolong the life cycle of customer equipment.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues through effective communication skills.
  • Provide quote estimates for labor and material repairs and upgrades as needed.
  • Servicing products and equipment on assigned projects while ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, analyzing, diagnosing, and repairing equipment and systems at the customer's location.

Requirements

  • Valid Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Journeyman Mechanic certificate.
  • Valid ODP/ODS Certification.
  • Centrifugal chiller experience.
  • More than 5 years of commercial, industrial, and/or institutional experience with all types of chillers.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld computers.
  • Adherence to company safety program.
