Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Join the Government of Nunavut's team of healthcare professionals as a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients in the Diagnostic Imaging Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proficiently scan, interpret, and produce quality images to aid in the accurate and timely diagnosis of patients.
  • Act as a resource to nurses in the Community Health Centers and the Obstetrical Team at Qikiqtani General Hospital by attending weekly antenatal clinic rounds.
  • Utilize ultrasound equipment to independently produce and interpret high-quality sonographic images as required by the off-site Radiologist.
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of an accredited sonography program.
  • Current registration with Sonography Canada.
  • Two years of sonography experience.
  • Annual certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS).
