We are seeking an experienced Electrical Mechanic to join our team at Labrador Rewinding Inc. as a Coil Winding and Repair Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of electrical equipment, including motors, transformers, and switchgear.
Key Responsibilities- Repair and Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment.
- Coil Winding: Wind, assemble, and install various types of coils.
- Testing and Quality Control: Test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgear, and test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear, or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance.
- Training and Development: Instruct apprentices and provide on-the-job training.
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in electrical mechanics.
- Work Setting: On-site customer service, repair, testing, and service.
- Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling.
- Health Benefits: Dental plan, health care plan, vision care benefits.
- Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
- Language: English or French.
