About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Landscaping Service Contractor to join our team at Sun City Landscaping. This is a permanent, full-time position offering 30 hours of work per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, supervise and schedule staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Plan and direct grounds maintenance services, including landscape construction and repair.
  • Estimate labor and materials costs for projects, ensuring accurate budgeting and profitability.
  • Manage and supervise landscape construction work, ensuring high-quality results and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, including logs and reports.
  • Tender and administer contracts with clients and suppliers.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to inform project planning.
  • Procure necessary materials, equipment, and supplies to support operations.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, providing technical guidance and recommendations to improve productivity and quality.
  • Develop and implement effective work schedules and procedures.
Work Environment

This role involves working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Requirements
  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in landscaping or a related field.
  • Steel-toed safety boots, gloves, and a safety vest are required personal protective equipment.
  • Excellent oral communication, client focus, team player, and flexibility are essential qualities for this role.
