We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Intermediate Accounts Payable Representative to join our team at Alterna Savings. As a key member of our Accounts Payable team, you will be responsible for ensuring the prompt and accurate processing and payment of vendor invoices and employee expense claims.
Key Responsibilities- Process and pay incoming vendor invoices and employee expense claims in a timely fashion, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls.
- Act as a liaison between external vendors and internal clients, providing timely and courteous responses to inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
- Provide guidance and training to newer or more junior members of the Accounts Payable team, sharing knowledge and expertise to ensure a smooth functioning of the team.
- Perform other related duties as delegated by the Manager, Finance Operations, including general ledger integrity process, year-end accruals, and participation in finance operations and corporate projects.
- University degree or college diploma in Accounting or 3 years equivalent experience in an Accounts Payable department.
- Strong general knowledge of Accounting, specifically as it relates to Accounts Payables and Accruals.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and Sage 300 (including AP and EFT modules) or other ERP.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
