Job Overview

Vancouver Airport Authority is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our Enterprise Advanced Analytics Department. This is a full-time, term opportunity that will run until September 2025.

The successful candidate will lead Business Intelligence projects, provide expert business and technical support, and drive continuous process improvements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with senior leadership and the business to define and implement Business Intelligence strategies.
  • Leading the planning and implementation of Business Intelligence and data analytics projects.
  • Documenting current business processes, conducting requirements analysis, and identifying system and process improvements.
  • Establishing and enforcing standards, best practices, and methodologies for Business Intelligence processes and tools.
  • Mentoring business and junior IT resources in business analysis, technical troubleshooting, and Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse support skills.

Key qualifications include:

  • Minimum of ten years' recent experience implementing and supporting enterprise data warehouses in medium to large organizations.
  • Five years recent experience in senior-level business analysis and project management.
  • Strong business analysis (BA) and project management (PM) skills.
  • Ability to oversee and plan all activities around the management of IT systems/programs with a focus on service delivery and a pro-active outlook.

This position is open to both Vancouver Airport Authority employees and external applicants. Previous job performance will be taken into consideration for all internal candidates that apply for this position.

Salary Range: $97,599 to $127,555 per annum, based on 37.5-hour work week. This is individually tailored to reflect your unique experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
