About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our Domestic Tax team as a trusted advisor to clients. As a Senior Tax Manager, you will own client relationships within a wide variety of industries, working with top tax professionals to further your career and create your unique career journey.

You will collaborate with colleagues across service lines such as Assurance, Advisory, and Specialty Tax, broadening your perspective and helping you solve complex client problems.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Establish deep trusting relationships with clients, advising them on complex tax matters and helping them with corporate and personal tax planning and compliance.
  2. Advise clients on reorganizations, rollovers, windups, amalgamations, succession, and estate planning, reviewing complex tax returns and identifying opportunities for tax savings.
  3. Coach and mentor a team of colleagues on tax compliance, discussing tax planning options and sharing your expertise to help them grow professionally.
  4. Act as a leader in the management of our growing tax practice, identifying and developing new opportunities for additional tax services.

Your Requirements

  1. You have completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course or hold a Master's degree in Taxation, demonstrating your technical expertise in corporate and personal Canadian tax planning and compliance.
  2. You have developed and presented new ideas, approaches, and tax solutions for clients as part of your commitment to providing exceptional client service.
  3. You possess a keen interest and skill in business development, actively pursuing opportunities to grow the tax practice.
  4. You are a technical expert in corporate and personal Canadian tax planning and compliance, with a strong track record of delivering results-driven advice to clients.
