About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Communications Expert to join our dynamic Corporate Planning team at the Bank of Canada.



Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as your ability to translate complex concepts into clear, engaging content.



In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing and communicating the Bank of Canada's strategic plans, reports, and key messaging. Reporting to FIN's Director of Corporate Planning, you will bring a strategic outlook to the team, supporting all facets of the business and contributing to the successful development and delivery of communications products.




  • Craft compelling narratives for annual reports, executive presentations, and dashboards.
  • Develop clear and concise content for all supporting communications, including briefing notes and executive summaries.
  • Edit and refine documents produced by other team members to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Manage multiple writing projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines.
  • Support the team's Senior Analyst in gathering, synthesizing, and interpreting large amounts of quantitative and qualitative data, transforming this analysis into insights and advice.
  • Contribute to the evolution of corporate planning practices for the Bank.


Your Responsibilities


  2. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop corporate strategic plans.
  3. Craft compelling narratives for annual reports, executive presentations, and dashboards.

What We Offer

The Bank offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $121,842 to $143,344 (job grade 18), as well as additional performance pay and flexible benefits.

What You Need to Know


  • Language requirement: English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.
  • Priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents.
  • Security level required: Be eligible to obtain Reliability clearance.
  • There will be no relocation assistance provided.
