Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and organized Senior Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Executive Director and the Executive Assistant to Chief & Council. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Director and the Executive Assistant to Chief & Council with administrative tasks, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and document preparation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to stakeholders, including employees, community members, and external partners.
  • Develop and maintain complex spreadsheets, reports, and other data visualizations to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Liaise with various departments and teams to coordinate events, meetings, and projects.
  • Manage and maintain confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources department to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a First Nations organization.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Knowledge of Seabird Island Band policies and procedures, or a willingness to learn.
