Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cash Counter to join our team at Elements Casino Victoria. As a Cash Counter, you will be responsible for accurately counting cash assets in the Count Room and managing transactions between the Gaming Floor and the Cage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Count and verify cash assets, including bills, coins, and cash equivalents
  • Organize and secure the storage of count carts, drop boxes, and other equipment
  • Report any discrepancies or suspect cash
  • Verify and reconcile counts before and after processing
  • Bag, bundle, and transport counts to the Cage
  • Provide information for reporting purposes and communicate effectively with operational departments
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external guests
  • Comply with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements
Requirements
  • Superior guest service skills and a strong "Make it Happen" attitude
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to understand, speak, and write in English
  • Working knowledge of computers and experience with cash handling software
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in high-volume cash handling
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Serving It Right certificate and a Criminal Record Check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
Work Environment

This is a back-office position that requires standing or sitting for long periods of time, with non-traditional work hours.
