The Sales Account Manager plays a crucial role in managing, maintaining, and growing a targeted client base as part of a dynamic team. This position involves numerous customer interactions including sales, product demos, contracts, and business reviews. The person will interface with various teams such as Customer Support, Finance, Product, Solutions Consulting, and many others, serving as the hub of Insurity's spokes in customer support and growth.
This role represents an exciting opportunity to partner with Enterprise Account Executives to achieve overall revenue targets. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining strong long-term relationships with clients, understanding their business challenges, plans, and opportunities while expanding relationships across different divisions and groups within the company.
The Sales Account Manager will maintain a working action plan that supports client growth while overcoming their challenges and meeting their goals. Additionally, they will participate and/or lead customer presentations via Team and on-site with clients, manage a portfolio of accounts, and uphold customer alignment and strategic direction.
Key responsibilities also include achieving sales targets by understanding customer needs, identifying cross-sell and business expansion opportunities, and coordinating new product demonstrations. Furthermore, the person will establish a cadence for first invoice review on all new products, contracts, and expansions to ensure they are correct and meet the customer's expectations.
Immersion into Insurity products and solutions is essential to ensure depth of product understanding, tools for qualifying opportunities, differentiations to competitive offers, and how to maximize impact for clients. Staying up-to-date on industry and job-related trends and best practices, including reading relevant publications, articles, blogs, etc., is also critical.
We seek individuals who possess 2-3+ years of account management experience, preferably in the insurance industry. A Bachelor's degree in business, sales, and marketing or related fields (equivalent work experience may be considered) is required. Proficiency in MS Office and insurance knowledge are highly valued.
