Job Title: Executive Chef
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Bad Dog Bar & Grill. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items.
Key Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate special events and ensure seamless execution
- Determine food portion sizes and costs to maintain profitability
- Plan menus and estimate food requirements to meet customer demand
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standard
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to maintain a safe and efficient working environment
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize resource allocation
- Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
Requirements:
- College/CEGEP education in culinary arts or related field
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of attention to detail
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
