Job Description

As an Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for analyzing and managing accounting operations for our divisions. Your day will be filled with financial statement review, budgeting, and forecasting. You will also participate in monthly meetings with Production Managers and assist in the migration to AX 365.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the controller in the preparation and analysis of financial statements and notes.
  • Track and reconcile fixed assets.
  • Participate actively in the end-of-month and year-end process with external auditors.
  • Follow transfer pricing for redistributed transactions in other legal entities.
  • Track prepaid fees, current receivables, and monthly installments.
  • Reconcile all forms of ledgers (inventory, AP, AR, sales).
  • F/X reassessment of payable, receivable, and bank accounts in other currencies.
  • Validation of payroll variances.
  • Redistribute costs shared between related companies.
  • Calculate and track monthly provisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in administration or accounting.
  • Hold an accounting title (CPA).
  • 1-3 years accounting experience.
  • Previous experience as an assistant-controller is an asset.
  • Experience in the manufacturing field is an asset.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX is an asset.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Great organization skills and ability to respect deadlines.
  • Team player and autonomous.
