Director of Supply Chain Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Supply Chain to join our team at PeaceHealth. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing and controlling supply chain operations for our assigned region or ambulatory supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement long- and short-term business strategies and operational plans to drive supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee the design, structure, development, and planning of supply chain operations to ensure quality, service, and regulatory compliance.
- Identify areas of potential savings and implement initiatives to drive cost optimization and consolidation of supplies.
- Lead supply chain management efforts to improve patient quality outcomes by standardizing products and minimizing supply chain inefficiencies.
- Partner with organizational leaders to ensure operations and processes remain consistent and emulate best practices.
- Serve on Value Analysis Committees and system-wide committees to review materials resources and advise leadership on purchasing, contracts, inventory control, and other materials-related items.
- Maintain good vendor relations and serve as a liaison between customers and suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Establish and maintain efficient, customer-focused, and accurate ordering, receiving, stocking, distribution, and inventory control systems.
- Oversee all Supply Chain functions within their assigned Network distribution processes.
- Foster a positive and proactive work environment, emphasizing respect for individuals, high standards of quality, customer service, innovation, and teamwork.
- Manage departmental budget oversight, including routine monitoring, adjustment, and annual budget development process.
- Establish annual savings goals and objectives necessary to meet approved savings targets.
- Supervise the delivery system and ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and information.
- Support supply chain products and services contracting, including implementation and service level agreements where applicable.
- May have oversight of value analysis team or PeaceHealth Medical Group team, with responsibility for results including costs, methods, and staffing.
- Develop and manage service level agreements (SLAs) with operating units to ensure effective delivery of services to the system.
- May be responsible for oversight and management of laundry, mailroom, courier, or other services.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years Healthcare experience with emphasis in medical supplies, supply chain, or purchasing.
- Minimum of 5 years Management experience.
- Ability to deliver financial results for areas of accountability and for supply expense for Network.
- Computer experience is required: proficient with MS Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Technical competence in core materials management functions including procurement, distribution, and logistics preferred.
- Consistently operates computer and other office equipment.
- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Sedentary work.
- Predominantly operates in an office environment.
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
