Job Title: Shift Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at PETRO-CANADA(A&W). As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of food service staff and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and quality food.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, address customers' complaints or concerns.
  • Operations: Establish methods to meet work schedules, estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit reports.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, physically demanding.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Schedule: 35 to 44 hours per week.
Working Conditions:
  • Work Setting: Coffee shop, fast food outlet or concession, restaurant.
  • Supervision: 3-4 people, 5-10 people.
  • Security and Safety: Bondable.
  • Transportation: Own transportation, public transportation available.
Personal Suitability:
  • Client Focus: Excellent oral communication, efficient interpersonal skills.
  • Team Player: Flexibility, client focus.
