Job Summary

The University of Ottawa is seeking a highly qualified Part-Time Professor to teach a course on quantitative methods in conflict studies and human rights. The successful candidate will have a strong background in statistics and social sciences, with experience in teaching and research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach a course on quantitative methods in conflict studies and human rights, including statistical analysis, regression, and data visualization.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of postdoctoral students.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of the program in conflict studies and human rights.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in social sciences, economics, psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience in teaching and research in quantitative methods and conflict studies.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in teaching at the university level.
  • Publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical software and data analysis techniques.
