Job Title: Replacement Professor Position in Mathematics and Statistics

Job Summary: The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Ottawa invites applications for a replacement professor position in probability and statistics. The successful candidate will be expected to teach in French and English, and will have the opportunity to participate in research groups and supervise students.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching six courses per year, with a focus on probability and statistics.
  • Research: The candidate will be expected to participate in research groups and contribute to the development of the department's research agenda.
  • Service: The successful candidate will be expected to provide academic service to the department and the university, including committee work and other administrative duties.

Requirements:

  • Education: A Ph.D. or equivalent in mathematics, statistics, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: The successful candidate will have a proven track record of teaching at the undergraduate level, with a focus on probability and statistics. Research experience in academia and/or industry will be an asset.
