We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Post Office Assistant to join our team at Canada Post Corp. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional counter services to our customers, including selling postal products and services, sorting and distributing mail, and addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
Key Responsibilities- Sales and Customer Service: Sell postal products and services to businesses and individuals, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all customers.
- Mail and Package Processing: Sort, distribute, and process mail and packages into appropriate classifications, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Customer Support: Provide customers with information and forms, address delivery and service difficulties, and resolve problems thoroughly and quickly.
- Education: High school or provincial equivalency and/or experience in business administration.
- Experience: Training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment, including sales and cash transactions.
- Skills: Understanding of general or post office accounting systems, physical fitness to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, and flexibility to be available for temporary, on-call work.
