About the Role

Aroma Interiors Ltd. is seeking a skilled Drywall Taper to join our team. As a Drywall Taper, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall to ensure a smooth and even surface.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation: Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to ensure a precise fit.
  • Finishing: Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Surface Preparation: Clean and prepare surfaces to ensure a strong bond between drywall and compound.
  • Joint Compound Application: Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Taping and Embedding: Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to create a strong bond.
  • Plaster Application: Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency and apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster.
  • Excess Compound Removal: Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Stud Framing and Furring: Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools.
  • Work at Heights: Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to install and finish drywall.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in drywall installation and finishing.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
