Job Summary:
Coast Mental Health is seeking a reliable and safety-oriented Bus Driver to transport clients and staff to scheduled outings in the lower mainland. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class 4 B.C. Driver's License, a clean driving record, and experience driving a large passenger vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport clients and staff to scheduled outings in a safe and timely manner.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance duties on the vehicle as required.
- Ensure the maintenance of the bus, including filling the gas tank, checking tire pressure, and cleaning the interior.
- Report any safety concerns to the Program Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 education or equivalent.
- A valid Class 4 B.C. Driver's License.
- Clean driving record.
- Safety-oriented and confident driver.
- Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Clearance.
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination.
- Previous experience driving a large passenger vehicle an asset.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to communicate with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Ability to organize work.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance.
- Willingness to work with the members of the Coast Communities.
