Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Support and Inclusion Activity Leader to join our team at the YMCA. As a Support and Inclusion Activity Leader, you will be responsible for creating a safe and inclusive environment for children of all abilities to participate in our before and after school programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual support to children within the program setting when required.
  • Work effectively within a staff team to provide an inclusive environment of support, strategies, and resources for children with diverse needs.
  • Help to build and contribute to a community environment of global supports and inclusion for all children.
  • Contribute to the development, integration, and maintenance of care plans within the program.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • Experience working with children 5 – 12 with additional support needs.
  • Emergency First Aid and CRC – C & AED.
  • 20 hours of training in Child Development, Child Guidance and/or Nutrition an asset.
