Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Solutions Architect to join our Commercial team at Rogers Communications.

Job Summary:
  • This is a full-time position in our Brampton office, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring 3 days of on-site presence per week.
Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical expertise and strong business acumen, with a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions that meet customer needs. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing pre-sales technical advisory services to sales teams, conducting product demonstrations, and assisting with project cost estimation.
  2. Interfacing with key decision-makers from current and potential customers, understanding their business goals, and building relationships of trust.
  3. Designing customized technical solutions that fit customers' challenges, defining implementation details, and evaluating risks and constraints.
  4. Gaining and maintaining a deep understanding of product sets, providing feedback for their evolution, and testing new features.
  5. Assuming lead roles for technical responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFI documents, reviewing requests, developing proposals, and writing response.
  6. Aiding the sales team in understanding technical solutions through regular meetings, training, and knowledge transfer.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise-level IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, databases, and operating systems.
  • Proficiency in various architectural frameworks and methodologies, such as OSI Layer networking and The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Team, Operator Connect, Time Phone Mobile, Contact Center, VOIP, SIP, programming languages, scripting tools, data integration, ETL processes, and data modeling.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including technical teams, non-technical stakeholders, and C-level executives.
  • Project management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
