Lab Technician Job Description

CB Canada is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join their team in Concord. As a Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and test incoming materials, in-process products, water, brine, and finished product samples for internal and external testing using chemical and microbiological analysis.
  • Prepare laboratory materials and samples for testing.
  • Maintain laboratory analysis, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and SOP records related to laboratory procedures.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance technicians to communicate test results and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Review internal results and advise the Quality Assurance Supervisor of any non-conformances.
  • Perform microbiological and chemical analysis of shelf-life samples and report findings to the Quality Assurance Supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Minimum completion of a bachelor's degree or diploma in Dairy Technology, Science, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years of experience performing lab tests (micro/chemical) required.
  • Previous experience working in the dairy industry or a related food manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
  • Experience with KPI trending of test results and deviations.
  • Ability to adhere to quality, HACCP, GMP, and other related standards and procedures.
  • Strong customer service mentality for internal customers.
