**About the Role**

A Therapeutic Diet Technician is needed to join our team at Baycrest Hospital. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Clinical Dietitian to provide support with food preferences, menu selection, and individual dietary plans.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Modify meals according to diets and changes in health status as recommended by the Clinical Dietitian or physician.
  • Conduct audits to ensure accuracy of diet orders, preference lists, and trays.
  • Provide an introduction/overview of the food services system to residents, families, and caregivers.
  • Participate in departmental quality assurance projects and collaborate on service improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Dietary Technician program, Food & Nutrition Management, or recognized equivalent required.
  • Member of Canadian Society of Nutrition Management ('CSNM').
  • Completion of a Food Handler's certification.
  • Two (2) years related clinical experience in a large healthcare facility.
  • Experience working with geriatric populations an asset.
