Kitchen Supervisor Job Description
At Boston Pizza Henderson, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that food is prepared and served to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish efficient methods to meet work schedules and ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring minimal waste and optimal stock levels.
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Prepare budget and cost estimates to optimize kitchen operations and minimize costs.
- Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform kitchen operations and improve efficiency.
- Prepare and submit reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in a kitchen supervisory role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, and quality control.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Ability to work under pressure, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with the ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
