About the Job

Celtic Finishes Inc. is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining buildings, bridges, and other structures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Construction and Repair: Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements, prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials.
  • Building Foundations: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Installation and Maintenance: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, and maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Carpenter Trade Certification, Working at Heights Training, and Occupational Health and Safety Certificate.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Hand tools, steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, and safety vest.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, judgement, reliability, team player, values and ethics, and punctuality.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and handling heavy loads. The position requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to work at heights.
