About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Interior Designer to join our team at Wayne Hanlon Incorporated. As an Interior Designer, you will be responsible for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces that meet the needs and tastes of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Estimation: Estimate the cost of projects and develop detailed specifications to ensure timely and budget-friendly completion.
  • Design Development: Create 3-D models and detailed plans showing the arrangement of walls, dividers, displays, lighting, and other fixtures to meet client requirements.
  • Client Consultation: Consult with clients to determine their needs, preferences, safety requirements, and purpose of space to develop tailored design solutions.
  • Design Implementation: Develop plans, elevations, cross sections, and detailed drawings to bring design concepts to life.
  • Computer-Aided Design: Utilize software such as Adobe Photoshop and AutoCAD to create and edit designs.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless project execution and meet deadlines.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Provide support to newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition and offer on-the-job training tailored to youth.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in interior design or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and excellent communication skills.
Work Environment

Language and Work Hours

The primary language of work is English, and the work hours are 35 hours per week.
