Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, including performing various tasks related to personal care, taking vital signs, and administering first aid as needed. They will also be responsible for maintaining patients' rooms and assisting with daily living activities.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Care
    • Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort
    • Take patients' blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
    • Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients
    • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms
    • Bathe, dress, and groom patients
    • Answer call signals to determine patients' needs
    • Administer first aid in emergency situations
    • Administer bedside and personal care
  • Credentials
    • Acute care nursing Certificate
    • Moving Patients Safety Principles (MPSP) training
    • Continuing Care Assistant Certification
    • First Aid Certificate
    • CPR Certificate
    • Nursing Aide Certificate
    • Health Care Aide Certificate

Requirements

  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting

Salary

$40,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
