About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Simulation Engineer - Vehicle Thermal Management to join our team at RGBSI. As a key member of our Energy Management and Aerothermal (EMAT) team, you will be responsible for working on complex vehicle thermal management systems, including air-conditioning, engine, battery, and cabin cooling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement advanced controllers for thermal systems using 1D tools like Amesim, Flowmaster, Kuli, AVL Cruise, and Matlab/Simulink.
  • Integrate system models with controllers and validate results using Model and Hardware in the Loop (MiL/HiL) benches.
  • Collaborate with system engineers to provide numerical solutions and suggest design improvements based on simulation results.
  • Work on cross-functional teams to develop and implement thermal management systems for vehicles.
  • Develop and maintain strong fundamental knowledge in Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, and Heat Transfer.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering with a thesis in Thermo-fluid/Controls simulation.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in using 1D tools for solving flow/thermal problems or 2 years' experience in Applied CFD.
  • Strong technical competence with demonstrated experience in methodology development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in presenting to senior management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience in vehicle/powertrain thermal management areas, including powertrain cooling, climate control, or thermal protection.
  • Experience in automotive HVAC, engine system design, and development.
  • Expertise in advanced control algorithms, including classical and AI-based techniques.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools and optimization methods.
