AV Support Specialist

Job Summary
The AV Support Specialist will provide technical assistance and administrative support to the Audio-Visual team at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. This role will contribute to the development and upgrading of AV services, ensuring seamless support for live streaming video deliveries, remote teaching environments, and event setups.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for live streaming video deliveries, including troubleshooting and maintenance of presentation equipment.
- Act as a liaison between onsite instructors and off-site students and faculty, implementing best practices for remote teaching and collecting/distributing confidential materials.
- Configure learning spaces for remote teaching situations to ensure equal educational experiences for in-class and remote students.
- Maintain up-to-date technical reports and assist Audio Visual technicians with day-to-day operations, including event setup and inventory management.
- Perform administrative duties to support AV Services, including generating reports, circulating department communications, and maintaining online filing systems.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of AV systems, including video conference equipment and digital media formats.
- Knowledge of best practices for delivering distance education and camera operation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint, with experience in corporate purchasing systems and requisition processes.
- Basic knowledge of video online management systems.
Competencies
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have a strong attention to detail and be able to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
