Aecon is a leading infrastructure company seeking an Environmental and Sustainability Coordinator to support our Civil East group. As an Environmental and Sustainability Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the environmental management and operationalization of sustainability on our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain and ensure compliance with environmental management systems, regulations, and project-specific plans.
  2. Provide reports and attend project-related meetings as required.
  3. Manage data collection, storage, and analysis to support sustainability initiatives.
  4. Evaluate compliance and support project teams in reviewing applicable standards and contract documents.
  5. Work with project teams and clients to identify design strategies for improving energy performance and reducing carbon emissions.
  6. Participate in the implementation of sustainability frameworks such as Envision, LEED, and WELL.
  7. Support the development and implementation of Aecon's corporate sustainability strategy and goals.
  8. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to establish clear expectations on sustainability requirements.
Requirements:
  1. University degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
  2. ENV-SP professional designation or equivalent experience.
  3. At least 3 years of experience in the environmental, construction, or sustainability sector.
  4. Valid driver's license and bilingualism (French and English) are assets.
  5. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
